Shannon and Brody's Wedding at Oxnead Hall, Norfolk

Never has a couple been so lucky with the weather. The day that Shannon and Brody tied the knot, the sun was absolutely beaming down with nary a cloud in the sky. Their wedding also happened to take place at a wedding venue I’d been looking forward to visiting for years: Oxnead Hall. And what a day it was.

The day began with Shannon and her bridesmaids getting ready in the prep room, before heading to the bridal suite for finishing touches and the all-important dress reveal. The happy tears of her bridesmaids were only the beginning, as the day was set to be filled with emotions, laughter and so much happiness.

Once ready, we made our way down to the picturesque area that the couple had chosen for their ceremony, at the end of a beautiful tree-lined pathway with ruins in the background and their nearest and dearest watching in the shade. After exchanging rings, it was time for some epic confetti photos, then canapés, drinks and a few family shots.

Seeking some relief from the baking hot sun, we headed inside for food and speeches, after which I had a chance to sneak Shannon and Brody away for some gorgeous golden hour portraits. The grounds of Oxnead Hall were the most perfect backdrop for their portrait session, but we returned before long for the cutting of the cake and first dance. And, as everyone knows, that was cue for their guests to jump onto the dance floor themselves and party the night away! The final touch to their perfect day was a stunning sparkler exit.

I had so much fun at Shannon and Brody’s celebration, and am so happy for them – it truly was the quintessential summer wedding. Good food, a full dance floor, and the best sunset of the year were the cherries on top of an already magical day filled with photo opportunities and smiling faces. Congratulations again, Shannon and Brody!
