Chloe and Anton's Wedding at Wyken Vineyard, Suffolk

Chloe and Anton first booked me back in August 2020, when the world looked very different. Things were just beginning to open up after the first lockdown, and everything was looking more positive. Fast-forward to April 2021, and we were at the tail-end of our second lockdown and pretty much in the same position as August – tentatively watching as venues and public places opened, and keeping our fingers tightly crossed that weddings would finally be able to go ahead.

Luckily, their wedding was allowed to take place. And so, prior to their celebration, we met up at Bressingham Gardens for an engagement shoot under the spring sunshine for a quick catch-up, chat, and of course the opportunity to grab some beautiful pre-wedding photos.

Their wedding day began at St Mary's Church in Eye, Suffolk, with an intimate ceremony dotted with hummed hymns (as singing wasn’t allowed) and witty anecdotes from the rector. Outside, we celebrated with confetti and family photos, before driving over to their reception venue, the stunning Wyken Vineyard near Bury St Edmunds.

Wyken Vineyard can only be described as a photographer’s playground, with the most amazing gardens stretching as far as the eye can see and gorgeous Mediterranean colours. Chloe and Anton’s guests toasted with a glass of the venue’s own Moonshine sparkling wine, as I snuck the two away for some couple photos amidst the daffodils. Finally, we were led over to a meticulously decorated indoor-outdoor area, set up with foraged flowers for dinner and cake for their 15 guests.

Chloe and Anton’s wedding was absolutely stunning and I’m so grateful I got to be part of such a special day. Not only that, their guests and families were just wonderful to be around – you could truly feel the love and happiness in the air. Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Hammond!
